Nivalis Nights Managers: Hiring and Restock Settings

Quick answer

Raise the venue to level 3 to hire a manager, assign the role and shift, then set its restocking budget and stock target in Venue Management Settings.

Unlock and hire a manager

The manager unlock is tied to the individual venue: raise the restaurant where you want a manager to level 3.

At a Hire Worker terminal, select the venue, open Staff, choose Hire in an empty slot, and browse the Managers category. Compare skills, expected hours and wages before recruiting.

Return to Staff and confirm the employee has the Manager role and a shift covering the venue’s opening hours. You can also check staff remotely through J → Restaurants → your venue → Staff with the default PC bindings.

Choose a stock target

Update #4 added per-venue restocking controls:

Setting Target
Lean 2
Normal 5; the default
Extra 10
Recent Sales Sales over the last 4 game hours, with a minimum of 2

Set the daily restocking budget as well as the target. Purchases use your money; leave room for both supplies and wages. The shopping list reflects the selected target.

Update #5 adds Use Greenhouse Stock to each venue’s management settings. When enabled, the manager uses your greenhouse ingredients before buying more. The settings also show how much of the daily restock budget has already been used.

When the manager is not restocking

Check these in order:

  1. Employee: Is the manager still employed, assigned and on shift?
  2. Money: Do you have funds, and does the daily budget allow more buying?
  3. Supply: Can the missing ingredient be purchased?
  4. Space: Is there room in the venue’s inventory?
  5. Menu: Expand red warnings to distinguish ingredients from equipment.
  6. Delivery: Check what actually arrived and where it went.

When the venue has no space, deliveries can go to your backpack. Move those ingredients into the venue or sell the excess. A shorter menu and less surplus stock can make the next problem easier to spot.

Keep the settings matched to sales

Start with a manageable menu and watch inventory over several trading periods. A high target can tie up money in slow-selling ingredients. Adjust the target and budget for each venue rather than assuming every manager buys a fixed ten portions.
